As you can imagine, our staff have been to Disneyland® Paris over the years more times than most and one thing that everyone always mentions is how much of a game changer the official Disneyland® Paris app is.

The app makes navigating the parks so much easier as it eliminates the need for the old-school paper maps. Everything you need is right there on your phone which means more time enjoying the magic and less time trying to figure out where you are. In addition to navigating around the Park, you’ll also have access to wait times for rides and attractions in real time. This means you can take a look at which rides have the shortest lines which is ideal for those with a limited amount of time.

Another important feature of the official Disneyland® Paris app is your ability to make restaurant reservations. This is particularly useful because as we’ve just mentioned, some popular restaurants can get booked up very quickly. Oh – and if you’re anything like us you’ll love the fact you can browse the menus of restaurants ahead of time!

Tip 6: Plan for Different Weather Conditions

Paris experiences all four seasons quite distinctly being situated in Western Europe. In the spring (March to May), the weather is usually mild with occasional showers, so a light jacket and an umbrella are good to have. Summer (June to August) brings warmer temperatures, sometimes reaching up to 30°C (86°F), so think light clothing, hats, and plenty of suncream as there is limited amount of shade. Autumn (September to November) cools down again and can be quite wet, so layers and rain gear are essential. Winter (December to February) can get pretty cold, sometimes dipping below freezing, so warm coats, gloves, and scarves are a must.

Flexibility in Dining Reservations

Disneyland® Paris is huge, with so many attractions, shows and restaurants it can be easy to get caught up in the moment. Understandably, plans can change in an instant. Luckily, Disneyland Paris offers flexibility for such instances with free cancellation for dining reservations up to the day of the reservation which can be done via the Disneyland Paris app.

Simply head to the “My table bookings” section of your account and choose the dining option you would like to cancel. Likewise, if you are staying at a Disney hotel, you can make dining reservations through the app as soon as you make your resort booking making it easier than ever to book lunch or dinner.

If you are not staying at a Disney resort, you can still make dining reservations, but there are some restrictions. For Standard Dining Reservations, these are available 60 days before your visit. For Character breakfast dining reservations, these can be booked 3 days before your visit so make sure you keep an eye out on the days leading up to your visit! Often people cancel at the last moment meaning there are usually some tables available on the day and some restaurant do allow walk ins.

Tourist Tax Explainer: How 2024’s New Rates Impact Your Stay at Disneyland Paris

The Paris tourist tax is a compulsory tax that all visitors to the French capital aged 18 or over have to pay when staying overnight on a per person, per night basis. Unbeknown to many, the tax has actually been in place for just over 30 years now with the intention of contributing to the wider development, upkeep and promotion of tourism in the region.

It’s not just France that tourist taxes are charged, other EU nations such as Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and the Netherlands all apply a tourist tax to those staying in the large cities too. Thankfully, these fees are fairly small, usually a few euros per night.

However, with the Olympics heading to Paris this year, the French government have taken the decision to increase these tourist taxes in order to compensate for the influx of tourists expected during the Olympic Games. It can be quite difficult to find accurate information online especially when its regarding foreign policy, so we hope this short blog post will paint a more accurate picture for those wondering if Disneyland Paris guests will be affected.

All guests staying overnight in Disneyland Paris, and indeed all hotels in the Ile-de-France region, will be affected by the increased tourist tax rates, and the amount you pay depends on the standard of accommodation you are staying in.

Here’s a breakdown of the new increased tourist tax rates for Disney Hotels within Disneyland Paris (and also applicable to Disney Area Hotels too depending on the ‘star’ rating):

Disneyland Hotel: 10.73 EUR

Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel: 8.13 EUR

Disney Newport Bay Club: 8.13 EUR

Disney Sequoia Lodge: 5.20 EUR

Disney Hotel Cheyenne: 5.20 EUR

These rates are normally factored in to your total accommodation price when booking, however Disneyland Paris confirmed that for customers booking between 19^th December 2023 and 1^st January 2024 the incorrect tax has been charged, we have been asked to collect this on Disneyland Paris’ behalf in advance of customers arriving at the resort and for those yet to pay their balance travelling later this year, this nominal difference will be added to their balance.

Les Villages Nature® Paris is an award-winning eco-friendly Disney Nature Resort, located just 6km from Disneyland® Paris, with apartments and cottages that sleep up to 12 people. It is a fantastic way to experience Disneyland® Paris with family and friends. Plus, there is so much to enjoy at the resort itself. MagicBreaks have recently hosted a family influencer trip to Les Villages Nature® Paris, which allowed us to spend 3 nights here and fully immerse ourselves into the resort and experience all that it has to offer. So, here are our best bits…

1. Accommodation

Les Villages Nature® Paris offers a wide range of accommodation to suit all families. You can see a full list of all accommodation options here. All are extremely light, bright and modern. Some of the larger accommodations are equipped with a log burner so you can cosy up after a day of exploring. 2. Aqualagon®

Aqualagon® is the biggest water park in Europe, it is heated entirely with geothermal energy and offers a whirlpool of water-based activities for all. This was a firm favourite with all families. With 7 giant water slides, a wave pool and an outdoor lagoon heated at 30ºC all year round, it provides hours of fun which tires the kids out too…result! For those who prefer to unwind and have possibly had a busy day Disneyland® Paris, they can indulge in slower-paced activities, as the Aqualagon® is fully-equipped for moments of relaxation. They can sit back in the hot tubs, recharge their batteries in the spa and swim in the outdoor lagoon. You can also take a walk up the very top of Aqualagon® to get a beautiful view of the whole resort, like Laura, Eva, Megan and Harry did.

3. Food

Les Villages® Nature Paris hosts a number of top-class restaurants with mouth-watering meals at affordable prices. We dined at Cépages, which offers a range of dishes and delicious wines. It’s an extremely stylish restaurant which makes you feel like you’ve been transported to central Paris. This is definitely a great option for couples or groups of adults.

We also ate at Les Délices de la Ferme Restaurant, located at BelleVie Farm, which was a hit with the kids and parents alike. The restaurant offers tasty fresh and wholesome dishes and a massive play area which meant a more relaxing meal could be enjoyed by the adults! It’s safe to say it was difficult to pull the kids away even when their ice cream had been served! Hayley from Sparkles and Stretch Marks has captured some great imagery from the play area here.

Miam Miam was a fantastic option for lunch after a morning spent at Aqualagon®. Burgers, nachos, rice bowls and more are served along with the most amazing desserts. The cookie dough cake was a dream, we are still talking about it now. Karen from Missing Sleep agrees and also included this in her blog post, which you can find here.

For lighter bites, on-site bakery Chex Meunier provides pastries, cakes and sandwiches. We would highly recommend the paninis here! YUM. For something a little healthier, PUR Etc is extremely tasty and nutritious. There is also a supermarket located a few doors down with a large salad bar. This supermarket is also great to stock up on bits and pieces for your apartment which is great if you’re on a budget.

4. BelleVie Farm

There is so much to experience at BelleVie Farm for all ages. As mentioned, the restaurant is lovely and you can grab a coffee and light bites here throughout the day also. You can take part in a chocolate making class which Karen tells you all about here. You will find out how chocolate is made and make your very own to take home, unless you eat it all before you leave!

You’ll be able to see a number of different farm animals including goats, pigs and you can even take a pony ride around the resort (kids only I’m afraid!)

5. Disneyland® Paris

Les Villages Nature® Paris is the ‘perfect way to do Disney’ as Cat from No So Smug Now sums up in her blog post that you can read here. We understand that everybody is different. Some like to immerse themselves fully into all things Disney and a Disney® Hotel is therefore the perfect option. For those who may have experienced this before and are looking for a different way to experience Disneyland® Paris, or for those who would just like a little oasis of tranquillity to escape to after a day in the Parks, Les Villages Nature® Paris is ideal. Shuttle buses run every half an hour each day to and from Disneyland® Paris, costing just €2 each way. After a day in the Parks, many of the families on the trip enjoyed a Vapianos takeaway which is available at Les Villages Nature® Paris, located on the Lakeside Promenade. A great way to wind down after a busy day and share your favourite magical moments.

So, here are a number of reasons as to why 2020 will be a great year to visit Disneyland® Paris…

Super Heroes assemble at Disney’s Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel

Calling all Super Heroes! MARVEL fans can take their adventures to new heights at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, opening next summer. Guests can admire over 300 pieces of MARVEL artwork by more than 50 international artists. Rooms will include one-of-a-kind themed suites inspired by Super Heroes like Spider-Man, and you can even meet some of these legends at various photo locations within the hotel.

The re-imagined hotel will include entirely redesigned rooms with a modern feel, featuring MARVEL artwork in each room and a subtle nod to the legendary Iron Man in Empire State Club rooms.

In the Spotlight: Disney’s Newport Bay Club

Hello! Welcome to our first ‘In the Spotlight’ blog post. We thought it would be great to solely dedicate blog posts from time to time on just one hotel, so you get a full insight. To start off, we’re talking about one of our favourite Disney® Hotels, Disney’s Newport Bay Club.

Disney’s Newport Bay Club is a recently renovated 4 Key (or star) Disney® Hotel overlooking the shores of Lake Disney®. It’s just a short 10-minute walk from both of the Disney® Parks, Disney Village® and the main railway station (Marne La Vallee), where you will find the Eurostar terminal. There is also a free shuttle bus to and from the Disney® Parks which is handy when you have been on your feet all day!

There are 9 different room types at Disney’s Newport Bay Club, ranging from a Superior Room, a charming nautical themed room sleeping a maximum of 4 adults plus 1 infant, to a Presidential Suite, located in the Compass Club, with views of Lake Disney®. These Suites sleep a maximum of 4 adults, 2 children plus 1 infant OR 5 adults plus 1 infant and also includes a large living room. When booking a Suite, guests can also take advantage of these fantastic extras:
